USING THE MOISTURE METER

Insert probe into soil to root level. Do not push the probe too near to
the stem. Note the reading.

INTERPRETING THE MOISTURE READING

Each plant in the chart has a predetermined watering number. For the
plant you are testing, water only when the reading from the tester is
the same as or lower than the watering number.

TESTER CARE

The probe should not be left in the compost or in contact with mois-
ture for longer than is required to take the reading. Always wipe the
probe clean and dry after each reading with a soft cloth or tissue.
