1/2” CARRIAGE BOLT

1. Insert a hex bolt and a block through the holes in the bottom of the rear crossmember. Also insert a carriage bolt and
bolt plate into the rear hole of the mounting structure that the passenger side shock absorber mounts to. This is between
the frame and the spare tire.

2. Lift the brackets up in place under the vehicle with the bolt coming through the holes. See the diagram above. Install

1/2” serrated washers, lock washers and nuts on the on the bolts.

3. Install a carriage bolt and bolt plate into the hole in the frame and hitch bracket on the drivers side. Install a 1/2” serrated

washer, lock washer and nut on the bolt.

4. Install the 1/2” knurled bolts, 1/2” lock washers, and the 1/2” nuts. Tighten the nuts until the bolt heads seat against the

brackets.

5. Torque all 1/2” nuts to 70 ft*lb.
