Installation Instructions

Equipment Required:

Wrenches: 13mm, 19mm, 3/4, 7/8

Drill Bits: 1/2”

1. Remove bracket from each side of vehicle frame as shown in Figure 1. Save brackets and fasteners for reinstallation if the receiver is removed

from the vehicle.

2. Remove exhaust system isolator and discard 8mm nuts. Allow exhaust to drop.

3. Lift receiver into position. Install 1/2" hex bolt, lock washer and nut through side bracket and bumper bracket as shown in Detail “A".

Note: Bolt heads must be to inside of frame.

4. Install 1/2" hex bolt, spacer, lock washer and nut through bottom of frame as shown in Figure 1.

5. Using the hitch as a template, enlarge the forward hole visible through the bracket with a 1/2" drill bit.

6. Insert wire nut spacer through opening in rear of vehicle frame and slide spacer over 1/2" hole drilled in step 5.

Note: Keep nut spacer along outboard edge of frame and make sure spacer is flat on surface of frame c-section.

7. While holding nut spacer in place, install M12 hex bolt and lock washer through side bracket and into nut block as shown in Figure 1.

8. Assemble two (2) 5/16" flat washers and one (1) 5/16" lock washer to each end of exhaust isolator, as shown in Detail “B" and reinstall using

8mm hex nuts provided. If additional exhaust clearance is required, bend metal portion of isolator as indicated by arrows.

Tighten all 1/2 GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

and SAE J684.
