Using the Interface Cables

Positioning the Sensor

Select the proper size band for the patient.

1. Strap the sensor bands around the patient’s abdomen or chest, over any clothing.

2. Attach the first wire to the snap that is on the same side of the band as the Velcro® patch.

3. While holding this end to the left of the patient’s centerline, wrap the band around the patient’s

chest or abdomen. For smaller patients move the starting point further to the left.

4. Pull the other end over the first end and secure to the band on the right side of the centerline. The

band should be snug but not too tight.

5. Attach the second wire to the exposed snap. Secure both wires about 3” away from the connection.

Check that clear, strong signals are being transmitted before leaving the patient.

When removing the sensor band do not pull on the wires. Remove from the snap.
