Note: If you already have SQL Server installed on your machine, the instal-
lation wizard will detect it and will not install it. It will only install the
database.
Network Installation: Server Setup
During the server installation, SQL Server 2008 Express is installed on the
local machine (the workstation application will access this server). By
default, it is placed in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL directory of the machine on which it is installed. The
database is attached to this directory. To install SQL Server 2008 Express,
please refer to the instructions that follow:

(Please note that you must have administrative privileges on the PC to
install IntelliTrack software. Your IntelliTrack software setup is on 2 CDs.
Follow the prompts in the installation wizard for switching between CD #1
and CD #2.)
1. Insert CD #1 in the CD-ROM drive. Browse to the WMSSetup.exe file
on the CD and double-click on it to begin WMS setup.
2. The Welcome window appears, welcoming you to IntelliTrack WMS
v8.x. Click Next to continue.
3. The Select Components window appears. Select the Server option to
install the WMS application, database, and SQL Express on the same
PC. When you are ready to continue, click Next.
Note: A full installation option may also be placed on a server so that the
network administrator can fully monitor the machine where the data file
resides. If you wish to install a full version (workstation application and the
database) on the server, select Full at the Select Components window.
4. The Required Software needed for IntelliTrack WMS appears. This
window informs you that WMS requires Windows Installer 4.5 and
.NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1.
