PARTS LIST:

1 Driver Side Tail Light Guard

1 Passenger Tail Light Guard

PROCEDURE:

1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ

INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

2.

Open the rear door and remove the passenger side screws holding the taillight assembly by using
an 8mm socket wrench (Figure 1).

3.

Grasp the taillight assembly with one hand and pull gently. WARNING: Be sure to pull straight out
to avoid possible damage. If is too tight, then use a large standard flat screw driver and something
like a cardboard backing of a note pad or towel to protect the paint from damage. Gently pry off
the outside of the taillight assembly out of the vehicle. This is the same procedure required to
change a burn out taillight in the assembly.

4.

Carefully attach the passenger side Taillight Guard to the taillight (Figure 2). NOTE: Hold on to
the Taillight Guard so not to damage the paint.

5.

Re-position the taillight with Taillight Guard onto vehicle and secure it with factory hardware
(Figure 3). NOTE: If the Mounting Brackets on the Taillight Guard do not fit properly, they can be
adjusted to fit properly by slightly pulling or pushing on them.

6. Once you mount the Taillight Guard, close rear door slowly and make sure that the Taillight Guard

does not interfere.

7.

Repeat steps 2-6 for driver side Taillight Guard.

8. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a
protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could
damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild
soap may be used also to clean the Sidebar.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Sidebar.
