PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX.
VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE
STARTING INSTALLATION.
2. IMPORTANT! Due to the driver side mounting location being too close to the muffler,
before starting the installation make sure the muffler is not hot.
3. NOTE: In order to install the Rear Bumper Guard you will need to lower the muffler using
the included “C” Bracket. Remove the factory nut holding the muffler support located by
the exhaust tip (Figure 1).
4. Attach one side of the “C” Bracket to vehicle using the factory nut. Attach opposite side of
the “C” Bracket to the muffler support using the included (1) 8mm x 25mmm Hex Head
Bolts, (1) 8mm Lock Washer, (1) 8mm Hex Nut, and (2) 8mm Flat Washers (Figure 2).
Tighten hardware at this time.
5. There are three factory bolts with nuts on each side of rear frame rails. Remove the two
factory nuts towards the inside (front) of vehicle on each side (Figure 3).
6. With help position Rear Bumper Guard onto vehicle, and use the factory nuts and bolts to
attach the Rear Bumper Guard to vehicle (Figure 4).
7. Adjust Rear Bumper Guard properly; and then tighten all hardware at this time.
8. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and
tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended
to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain
abrasives that could damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the
finish. Mild soap may be used also to clean the Rear Bumper Guard.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Rear Bumper Guard.
