NOTE: Certain types of electrolytic
capacitors have small amounts of
leakage inherent. Since this
instrument is extremely sensitive,
it will detect the leakage and emit
a small tick. In the case of these
electrolytics this is normal and
the capacitor is usually not defec-
tive.
Testing Diodes:
1. Slide open top cover and
remove test leads.
2. For diode tests, the leads
must be connected first one
way across the diode, and
then reversed to complete the
test. (When connected so that
no tone is present, the black
test lead is connected to the
cathode).

BEDiENUNGSANLEiTUNG
Vor Inbetriebnahme muß eine 9 V Batterie, wie
unter WARTUNG beschrieben, eingesetzt
werden Vor Gebrauch des TIF660 die Funktioi
und Batterieleistung durch Kurzschließen der
beiden Testleiter und Drücken des Testknopfs
überprüfen. Es sollte ein kontinuierlicher Ton
hörbar sein; andernfalls ist die Batterie
auszuwechseln.
