Brushholder

Failure to follow these

instructions may result in product
damage, equipment damage, and
serious or fatal injury to personnel.

Brushholder to be installed

only with a negative ground vehicle
electrical system. Failure to do so will
result in a damaged diode.

If a positive ground electrical system is
used, the diode must be “cut-out” of the
brushholder and replaced with an
appropriate capacitor located at the switch.

Recommended capacitors are:

1. 600 VDC, 1.0 micro-farads, oil filled
2. 1000 VDC, 1.0 micro-farads, paper

The diode is removed by first removing the
protective cover, then cutting diode leads
with standard pliers. Replace cover.

A ground wire connection is needed at the
hitch for pull-type vehicles.
