Position truck on a flat surface and lift vehicle by the frame so that the front wheels are off the ground.
Use a minimum of 3 ton jack stands and place under frame for safety or a (2) two post lift if available.
Make sure that the emergency brake is on and the rear wheels are blocked to prevent a rollout.
1 ) First remove the driver side front wheel. Unbolt the
two 10mm brake line bracket retaining bolts. Unhook
the ABS line from the brake line support, brake line
bracket and coil tower (not in picture).
2 ) Remove the 21mm tie rod nut. Separate the tie rod
from the steering knuckle.
Unbolt the upper sway bar end link (not shown).
3 ) Loosen but do not remove the upper ball joint nut.
Break the upper ball joint loose from the steering
knuckle. DO NOT REMOVE THE UPPER BALL JOINT
NUT.
Remove 10mm bolts
Unhook ABS line, 3 locations
