1. The Light Trap Adapter consists of a galvanized
steel top, bottom, and two side pieces which must
be attached to the fan. Lay fan flat on ground, blade
side facing down.

2. Remove screen by bending retainer clips as open
as possible to keep the clips from interfering in later steps.
To bend the clips, push a punch or screwdriver through
holes (See Figure 1).

3. Add adapter sidewall pieces as shown above
for a fan (Figure 2). You will use the 1/4 x 3/4
inch bolts and lock-nuts provided. On 36" fans
built before 1/95, you may need to drill the middle
hole on the sides. Do not tighten nuts until
step four.

4. Attach the two metal stops to the Fan Top and
Bottom, respectively. Then add the Top and
Bottom adapter pieces to the assembly.
