ANAGEMENT

A new feature allowing the terminal to remain in service in the presence of print device errors accompa-
nies this release. If configured to stay in service, the terminal will still perform transactions that do not
require a receipt (withdrawals, purchases, etc.), in spite of an inoperable printer. This feature covers all
printer errors including out of paper (it is not selective between error types). The terminal will not perform
balance enquiries or transfer requests when the printer is unavailable. The customer is prompted with a
notification of the terminal’s inability to print a receipt allowing the opportunity to cancel the transaction.

. When this option is selected, a

screen will be displayed that enables the user to choose whether the ATM will remain “In Service” or go
“Out of Service” when printer-related errors occur during normal transactions.

Transaction Selection

If the option to stay “In Service” despite printer errors is enabled and a printer error is detected, the
customer will be given the option to continue or cancel immediately after a Withdrawal or Purchase
transaction is selected.

If the customer chooses to continue, no receipts will be printed and the terminal will NOT be taken out of
service.
