password used (access level).

Each Main Menu option description will include the function name, instructions for accessing the function,
a description of the function, and any associated factory default values.

The Main Menu screen allows the service provider/terminal operator to access the following Management
functions:

2.

Diagnostics. Used to perform terminal hardware testing and to view test results.

3.

Electronic Journal. Used to manage the ATM’s journal functions, such as export, save, and perform
queries.

4.

Password Maintenance. Used to add/delete users and modify terminal access privileges.

5.

System Parameters. Used to shut down or restart the terminal, update terminal software, and set
terminal date/time settings.

6.

Terminal Configuration. Used to view/edit terminal operating parameters such as terminal ID, status
reporting, state settings, cash dispenser setup, screen settings, audio setup, printer setup, and
communication settings.

VAILABILITY

* Note *

The availability of some Management Functions
will depend on such factors as types of optional
hardware installed, user password options, etc. In
cases where a function is not applicable or avail-
able, the option will be “grayed out” or otherwise
disabled.

HELPFUL TIP

It is recommended that after initial setup of the
terminal and whenever significant changes are
made to the current configuration that you save
the parameters (C

external storage device.
As a precaution, it is also recommended that you
save terminal parameters and journal records
before updating software, if required. You may
also want to print these parameter/records.
The procedures for saving to an external device
are found in the “T
