This is a simple jig to set up the angle I like for my
round nose scrapers. Provides a fast and consistent
way to regrind my scraper. I have various jigs for
each specific scraper.

Small round nose scraper holder for my
Sorby swan neck hollowing tool tip.
Simple scrap with two ¼ inch holes in
it. Top one is tapped for wing bolt.
Sharpen as you would any round nose
scraper.

When used with the Tool Rest, it provides a fast
and consistent grind. The angle setting jig (as
shown above) can be used to create various,
repeatable grind angles.

Lay the wooden jig flat onto the Tool Rest and
make full sweeps, side-to-side, until a consistent
and sharp edge is acheived. Grit changes can be
made without modifying the set up.
