AppLICATIOn

Use as a communication interface between a Rugged TROLL® 200 or Rugged BaroTROLL®
instrument and a desktop/laptop computer or RuggedReader® handheld PC (includes
RS485-RS232 converter). An internal 9 V alkaline battery powers the Rugged TROLL®
Com, but it does not provide power to the Rugged TROLL 200 or Rugged BaroTROLL
instrument. The Rugged TROLL Com device connects to the uphole end of the cable
connector for programming the Rugged TROLL 200 or Rugged BaroTROLL. The Rugged
TROLL Com also is used to download data or to view real-time readings.

BATTeRy InSTALLATIOn

Open the battery compartment door.

Slide the 9 V alkaline battery into the battery compartment so that the battery

terminals point outward. Lift the battery up slightly and attach the battery leads to
the battery terminals.

Push the battery into the compartment.

Close the battery compartment door.
