Low-FLow FLow CeLL

Catalog No. 0044710

AppLiCAtion
Designed for use during low-flow sampling and well purging to route flow past the water
quality sensors of the Multi-Parameter TROLL 9500 or 9000. Seal between instrument
and flow cell prevents oxygenation of water prior to analysis. Clear material permits
visual inspection. Stabilizing ground stake (included) threads into base. 3-way intake
valve (included) may be used to divert flow for sample collection. Anti-siphon check
valve (included) prevents backflow at outlet. Stainless steel cuff fitting lessens reflection
during turbidity measurement. Accommodates

Optional base plate is available.

• ground spike
• cap plug

The flow cell may be used without the optional intake and outlet valves.

1. For turbidity measurement, ensure the stainless steel sleeve is positioned in the bottom of

the flow cell.

When a turbidity sensor is not installed, it is best to remove the sleeve to ensure the

software volume calculations are correct.

2. Select the NPT/adapter fitting for the size hose to be used. Tape the NPT threads. Screw

into threaded holes in cylinder. Tighten by hand or with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

It is not crucial to align the outlet directly over the inlet on the flow cell.

3. If using the 3-way valve, attach it to the intake fitting (bottom) with a short length of tubing.

Attach tubing between the valve and the pump. See photo on back of sheet.

4. If using the anti-siphon check valve, attach it to the outlet fitting (top) with a short length of

tubing. Arrow on valve indicates flow direction. Use additional tubing if needed to direct
outflow as required.

TIP: The inlet and outlet
do not have to be exactly
aligned as shown here.
