Calculation of standard exposure is based on the specified metering method

You can customize camera operation so that turning the <

7> dial adjusts

the shutter speed and turning the <

z> dial adjusts the aperture value

(

= 168).

Adjusting the Flash Output

Choose from the three flash levels in <

D> mode.

Enter <D> mode.

Set the mode dial to <

D>.

Configure the setting.

Raise the flash, press the <

r> button and

immediately turn the <

z> dial to choose

the flash level, and then press the <

m>

button.

Once the setting is complete, [

X] is

displayed.

You can also set the flash level by choosing [

X] in the FUNC. menu

(

= 47), or by accessing <n> (= 48) and choosing [Flash Output]

in [Flash Control] on the [

4] tab.

You can set the flash level in <

M> or <B> mode by accessing <n>

(

= 48), choosing [Flash Control] on the [4] tab, and then setting [Flash

Mode] to [Manual].

You can also access the [Built-in Flash Settings] <

n> screen as follows

(except when an external flash (sold separately) is attached to the camera).

Press and hold the <

r> button for at least one second.

When the flash is up, press the <

r> button and immediately press the

<

n> button.
