Powering the DVD Player

This system MUST be powered from switched (Accessory) power as indicated on the marking
label. Power should be applied to the unit when the ignition key is in the Run and/or Accessory
positions. Use only the supplied power cable provided with this set to avoid electric hazards.

Operation

When the temperature rises dramatically from a very low temperature, moisture may condense
inside the VHDIND and cause the DVD player to malfunction. If the VHDIND does not operate
properly under these conditions, leave the VHDIND turned on for at least 30 minutes to allow
the moisture to evaporate.

Disconnecting the Battery

To prevent a short circuit, be sure to turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery
cable prior to installation.

NOTE: If the VHDIND is to be installed in a car equipped with an on-board drive or
navigation computer, do not disconnect the battery cable. If the cable is disconnected,
the computer memory may be lost. Under these conditions, use extra caution during
installation to avoid causing a short circuit.

INSTALLATION

1.

Remove the two transport screws.

2.

Attach the mounting bracket to the player using the supplied screws.

3.

Attach the DVD player to the vehicle using the mounting brackets.

NOTE: For proper operation of the DVD player, the chassis must be mounted within 20°

4.

Connect the wiring adapter to the existing wiring harness.

5.

Complete wiring as illustrated in “Figure 2 - Wiring Diagram.”

6.

Reconnect the battery negative terminal.

NOTE: When replacing a fuse, be sure to use the correct type and amperage to avoid
