Insight Recovery logical server configuration inconsistent with Insight
Dynamics logical server configuration.

Error message

HP Insight Recovery was not able to communicate with Insight Dynamics to confirm that a logical
server is being managed by HP Insight Recovery.

Cause

Delete the Recovery Group containing the logical server from HP Insight Recovery. Confirm that
the HP Logical Server Automation Service is running. Ensure that the logical server is not being
actively modified by any user. Retry adding the Recovery Group in HP Insight Recovery.

Action

Unable to run Insight Recovery operations because Insight Recovery Job
is in progress or another Insight Recovery configuration operation is
in progress.

Error message

If a Change local site to Primary Site or Change local site to Recovery Site operation is in progress
then no configuration operation will be allowed, because the Job is in progress. If an HP Insight
Recovery configuration operation is in progress, no other HP Insight Recovery configuration
operations will be allowed.

Cause

Ensure that the failover process is not taking longer than usual and that the backend job process
hp_lsdt_automation.exe

is running. Wait for the Change local site to Primary Site or Change

local site to Recovery Site operation to complete.

Action

Unable to import Storage Management Servers.

Error message

A Storage Management Server is not properly configured in the Insight Dynamics user interface.

Cause

Ensure that the Storage Management Server is discovered in the Insight Dynamics user interface.
Ensure that Open SSH is installed and configured on the Storage Management Server. If not, run
Configure -> Configure or Repair Agents

from the Insight Dynamics user interface. Ensure

that the credentials for the user are also the sign-in credentials for the server in the Insight
Dynamics user interface.

Action

Import Failed.

Error message

Possible causes include an invalid import file, HP Logical Server Automation service is not running,
or one or more recovery logical servers are in an active state.

Cause

Ensure that a valid file exported from the Primary Site is used to import the HP Insight Recovery
configuration at the Recovery Site. Confirm that the HP Logical Server Automation service is
running on the CMS. Ensure that all recovery logical servers to be managed by HP Insight Recovery
are in a deactivated state at the time of the HP Insight Recovery configuration import.

Action

Import succeeded but not all storage managers have been fully configured.
Check IR log files for details.

Error message

Credentials were not configured for one or more remote Storage Management Servers.

Cause

1. Look at the mxdomainmgr.*.log file to find the remote Storage Management Servers with

credentials that were not configured.

2. Make sure that the Storage Management Servers are up and healthy.
3. Discover the Storage Management Servers on the CMS.
4. Click on the HP Insight Recovery user interface Storage Management Servers tab.
5. Select the Storage Management Server that you want to configure, and click on Edit.
6. Check the Refresh SIM Password box and click Save.

Failure of an HP Insight Recovery Job, for example, a Change local site to Primary Site or
Change local site to Recovery Site

Job, may intermittently occur due to a transient error

condition between the software components. If a failure occurs, perform a retry of the operation
using the following steps:
