Hardware enforcement has limitations. Each Quad has 64 SID CAM (Source ID
Content Accessible Memory) entries. All four ports on the Quad share these SID
CAM entries. When these SID CAM entries are exceeded, then the hardware
zoning reverts to SOFT zoning.
For example, a port has taken up 63 SID CAM entries, as it is zoned with 63
devices. Adding two more devices to this zone will cause this port to revert to soft
zoning.
Likewise there are 512 DID CAM (Destination ID Content Accessible Memory)
entries per quad.
