NOTE:

The File System Used Capacity is displayed only for hosts that can collect information by using
Host Data Collector or Device Manager agent .
This value cannot be collected for a virtualization server.

You can click host links on the Resources tab to see volume details related to capacity, used capa-
city, and volume type. By reviewing this capacity information, you can efficiently use storage re-
sources and determine whether to migrate data to THP/Smart volumes.

Tier Residency: A chart displaying the usage of hardware tiers for each logical group. You can
compare the operating information of a logical group and the usage of hardware tiers by checking
whether the hardware tiers for the logical group are configured appropriately. You can also select
logical groups whose configuration is to be displayed. Click the tool icon in the application pane
to configure logical groups that display the usage status of hardware tiers.

Accessing the dashboard

When you log in to XP7 Command View AE, the Dashboard tab and reports are displayed by default.

The Dashboard tab reports include:

Datacenter Utilization

Top 10 Consumers

Storage System Alerts

Failed Tasks

Tier Residency

Click Dashboard Settings to select reports to display.

The title bar of each report has a right arrow icon [–>] that when clicked, takes you to another tab
to review related detail information.

For example, clicking the arrow icon for the Storage System Alerts report displays the Tasks & Alerts
tab with summary and detail information for alerts.

Click the Dashboard tab to re-display the dashboard reports.

When viewing Dashboard reports, click links to review specific detail.

For example, in the Top 10 Consumers report, clicking a specific host link displays the Resources tab,
expands the hosts tree, and displays related summary and volume information.
