Communication Methods

The Adaptive Computing Integration Software uses different communication methods to enable all

the different components to communicate with each other. For successful implementation, it is

necessary to understand the communication methods and the dependencies between the products.
The following diagram displays a summary of the inter-process communications in the adaptive

landscape.

Communication between systems

As you can see from the preceding diagram, the communications methods used are the following:

1.

HTTP(S): Used by SAP ACC 7.1 to communicate with the SAP Host Agent and sapacosprep.exe.

2.

Simple port communications: Used by the storage specific library to propagate storage

operations to the HP Integration Software for SAP ACC.

3.

Active management: Requested by the HP Integration Software for SAP ACC from HP SIM.

4.

OpenSSH: Used by HP SIM with password authentication to execute commands on the

Managed Node for active management.
