Adobe Flash Player
Virtual Connect Manager version 3.00 or higher requires Adobe Flash Player 10.x or higher.
Adobe recommends updating Adobe Flash Player 10.1.53.64 or earlier to Adobe Flash Player
10.1.82.76 (or higher). The recommended Adobe Flash Player web browser plug-in can be

downloaded and installed from the Adobe website (

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

), or

downloaded as a standalone executable from the Adobe website
(

http://www.adobe.com/downloads

).

For the latest Adobe Flash Player Security Bulletin Updates, see the Adobe website
(

http://www.adobe.com/support/security/index.html#flashplayer

).

Releases of Virtual Connect Manager after version 3.15 may require Adobe Flash Player 10.x or higher
(including security updates from the Adobe website

(

http://www.adobe.com/support/security/#flashplayer

)) and will no longer function with older 9.x

versions of the Adobe Flash Player.

Virtual Connect and RDP

If you plan on using VC-assigned MAC addresses and WWNs and are also working with server software

that will be licensed by MAC addresses or WWNs, assign server profiles before deploying an image

through RDP or attaching the license.
Always apply relevant licenses that are dependent on MAC addresses after the server profiles are assigned

so that the licenses are not lost due to a change in MAC address.

IMPORTANT:

If you plan to use RDP for RedHat Linux installation and also plan to use User- or

HP-defined MAC addresses, you must import the enclosure before running RDP.

RDP "rip and replace" is not supported in a Virtual Connect environment.

Accessing HP Virtual Connect Manager

Access to the Virtual Connect Manager occurs over the same Ethernet connection used to access the

enclosure Onboard Administrator and server blade iLO connections.
There are four ways to access HP Virtual Connect Manager:

If the management network uses dynamic DNS, locate the Default Network Settings label on the Primary
VC module, and then type the DNS name into the address field of the web browser.
If the management network does not use dynamic DNS, use the Onboard Administrator to access the
Virtual Connect Manager.
