Probable Cause / Recommended Action

Error Condition

Close all windows, and then log in to the Remote Web Console
again.

When you switch windows from one window
to the Remote Web Console window, the
Remote Web Console window is not redrawn.

Click the Refresh command in the File menu.

Even though you have clicked Apply to
execute the changing settings operation, the
new settings are not displayed on the Remote
Web Console window.

A Remote Web Console message dialog box other than the
dialog box that says Loading... might be displayed behind this
window. Press Alt key and Tab key to switch the dialog box.
If the dialog box that says Loading... remains displayed for
several hours after you apply the settings to the storage system,
contact technical support (see

The dialog box that says Loading... is
displayed for a long period of time.

Close all windows, wait until the processing that has been in
progress finishes, and then restart the Remote Web Console.

A Remote Web Console window is forcibly
closed while the processing that takes time,
such as LDEV formatting, is in progress.

Incorrect Display/Disoperation during the Web Browser Operation

Input the URL of the desired SVP to the Trusted sites of Internet
Options dialog box. See

The page is not displayed because of an
Invalid syntax error.

Maintenance / Others

Exit all web browsers on the Remote Web Console computer,
and then restart the browsers. If in doubt, you should exit and
restart the browsers.

The program on the SVP is updated.

An internal processing (for example, configuration change,
P.P. check, operational information acquisition, etc.) might be
being executed on the SVP (Web server).

Remote Web Console processing is
temporarily delayed.

You can continue using Remote Web Console even though the
digital signature for the Remote Web Console Java application
is expired. For the operation on the displayed dialog box, see

An error occurred because a digital signature
or security certificate is expired.

Copy the Remote Web Console configuration information onto
floppy disks using the FD Dump Tool (see

If you are unable to resolve an error
condition.

Note on the Operation on the UNIX

Click on the dialog box once more.

If you click the Remote Web Console main
window while a dialog box is displayed, the
dialog box will disappear (hide) behind the
Remote Web Console main window.
