IMPORTANT: This server blade does not support mixing RDIMMs and UDIMMs. Attempting to
mix these two types causes the server to halt during BIOS initialization.
To determine the Advanced ECC DIMM population order for each processor, use the following table and
"DIMM slot identification (on page 9 )":

Installing DIMMs
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: Always wear an antistatic wrist strap when working inside the server.
1. Power down the server blade (on page 13 ).
2. Remove the server blade (on page 14 ).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 15 ).
4. Disconnect the cables, and then remove the DIMM baffle.
5. Open the DIMM slot latches.
