To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless

all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.

Removable media device options

The server supports the installation of up to two half-height devices or one full-height device in the removable
media bays.

Installing a half-height media device

1.

Do one of the following:

If installed, remove the BBWC battery pack or the FBWC capacitor pack (on page

Using a T-15 Torx screwdriver, remove the screws from the blank and install them on the device.
