Because of the extensible architecture of JSF, you can generate your own component tag
libraries by extending the component classes. This feature enables you to support
customer-specific requirements.
• Flexible display model
The rendering feature in MyFaces enables you to separate the functionality and display of
the application. Therefore, you can create multiple displays and provide a different
appearance for the same component.
MyFaces Projects
Apart from the MyFaces core framework, the Apache community maintains several other projects,
such as MyFaces Trinidad, MyFaces Tobago, MyFaces Tomahawk, and MyFaces Sandbox. Among
these projects, only MyFaces Trinidad and MyFaces Tomahawk are presently certified for use
on the NonStop platform.
MyFaces Trinidad
MyFaces Trinidad has a comprehensive component library that contains new components, in
addition to the default components provided by MyFaces. It provides a set of extended services,
such as dialog framework.
MyFaces Trinidad can be used to perform several functions, such as to modify the GUI of an
application, create input components, provide built-in menu model support, and so on.

MyFaces Tomahawk
MyFaces Tomahawk provides custom objects that are 100% JSF-compatible.
The MyFaces Tomahawk library contains a set of tags that contain new components and default
components with extended functionality.
MyFaces Tomahawk supports Facelets and improves the GUI of the web application.
