Show History

For each location reported, line 4 displays actual bar code on the label, with up to 8
characters. If there is no label or if there is no bar code reader installed, line 4 is blank.

Maintenance

The Maintenance menu and the options are intended for operator use are described in
Section 5, “Maintenance for the 5258ACL.” Additional options on the Maintenance
menu that are intended for use by service personnel are described in the Service Manual.

Configure

The Configure menu, how to use it and the options available under it are described in
Section 2, “Installing and Configuring the 5258ACL Tape Drive.”

Show History

The Show History menu enables the operator to review the history of the module. An
example of the use of the Show History menu, appears later in this section under
“Displaying Error Logs.” The configuration history, the original configuration, as well
as statistics on the number of operations the library robotics and the drives have
performed can be retrieved using this menu.

Security Menu

The Security menu permits the operator to lock the control panel, preventing inadvertent
or unauthorized access to the Menu mode, which takes the 5258ACL offline.

Note.

When the control panel is locked, you cannot open the magazine door.

The operator can display the Status menu without unlocking the control panel by pressing
Escape at the Default screen.
