You can restore the Storage Management Appliance software in one of the two
following ways:

Restore the SMA to Software Version 2.1

, described below

Restore the SMA to its Factory-Installed State

, described on page 96

Restore the SMA to Software Version 2.1

HP recommends that you restore the Storage Management Appliance software to
version 2.1 using a Storage Management Appliance QuickRestore CD that
corresponds to your SMA hardware (Appliance I, II, or III). If you do not have
this CD, you can order the appropriate QuickRestore CD for your hardware
version from the following website:

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/softwaredrivers/managementappliance/

.

HP recommends that you check this website periodically for the most up-to-date
QuickRestore CDs.

Note:

The Storage Management Appliance I hardware (previously called SANworks

Management Appliance) did not come with a QuickRestore CD. HP recommends that

you restore to version v2.1 by using the Storage Management Appliance I QuickRestore

CD (part number 260427-B26), which you can order from:

http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/softwaredrivers/managementappliance/

.

After restoring the SMA with software version 2.1, follow the instructions for:
