*1 Level 1 Sleep is performed on a logical volume in which a threshold specified by SDM is enabled
(Block option). Level 1 Sleep is not performed on the volume for which Donot Block (Volume Level) is
specified.

NOTE:

The behavior of the storage system, which is affected by option settings in the Change Option panel, will
also be affected by whether the

DonotBlock parameter of the Xaddpair command of SDM is specified. For

details, see the following tables.

According to the amount of used sidefile
capacity, the subsystem performs “Sleep”
-”Wait” command retry when the threshold
specified by SDM is exceeded.

The subsystem does not control the

Disable

The subsystem reports an SIM to the host
when the amount of used sidefile capacity
exceeds the sleep wait threshold.

The subsystem does not report an SIM
to the host when the amount of used
sidefile capacity exceeds the sleep
wait threshold.
