A-BODY CONTROL ARM MOUNT BRACES

Covers Part # RB001 AND RB002

1.
Lift vehicle and support with jack stands under the frame rails.
2.
Place a jack under the differential so that it may be raised up and down for ease of installation.
3.
Unbolt the lower shock mount and lower the rear end. Remove both springs.
4.
Once the springs are removed, lift the rear end to the standard ride height.
5.
Remove the front bolt from one of the upper control arms and replace it with one of the supplied longer

bolts. Allow only a portion of the thread to protrude through the frame rail and do not install the nut.

6. Repeat this procedure for the front bolt on the lower control arm. Allowing only a portion of the thread to

protrude through the frame will make it easier to install the mount braces.

7. Install the BMR mount brace onto the protruding bolts in such a way that the longer section of the brace is

closer to the lower control arm, adjusting the length of the brace as necessary. The brace should attach the
upper control arm mount to the lower control arm mount.

8. Once the length of the brace is correctly adjusted, the bolts should slide freely through the braces and the

brace should butt up against the frame mount. Install the provided washer and nut but do not tighten.

9. Repeat steps 5-8 for the other side.
10.
With suspension at ride height, tighten all control arm bolts to 90 ft/lbs. Additionally, tighten both jam nuts

on each BMR mounting brace.

11. Reinstall both springs and shocks. Verify all bolts are tight and lower the vehicle.
