TRAILING ARMS – CTS-V

Part # TCA018

NOTE: Although this installation can be performed with a hydraulic jack and stands, a 4 post service lift is recommended.

1. Lift vehicle and support by the frame rails/rocker extensions located in front of the rear suspension cradle. Remove both rear

wheels.

2. Remove the front trailing arm bolt using a 21mm socket.
3. Place a jack under the cradle and remove the front two cradle bolts using a 24mm socket (Cradle bolt locations shown in Image 1

below). Lower the cradle down until it is low enough to remove the front trailing arm bolt. NOTE: It may also be necessary to
loosen the rear cradle bolts slightly but do not remove them.

4. Using the 21mm socket, loosen the rear trailing arm bolt and remove the trailing arm. It may be necessarry to load the suspension

slightly in order to remove the trailing arm from the cradle.

5. Install the BMR trailing arm. Tighten the front bolt to 75 ft/lbs and rear bolts to 120 ft/lbs.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for other side.
7. Lift cradle and re-install front cradle bolts. Tighten the rear bolts to 140 ft/lbs and the front cradle bolts to 185 ft/lbs.
8. Re-install wheels and lower the vehicle.
