END LINK MOUNTING BRACES INSTALLATION

ELK009 – 2008-2009 PONTIAC G8, 2010-Current Camaro

RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
1/2”,

15mm

socket

3/8” drive ratchet
5mm Allen wrench
Hydraulic jack and stands
Drill with 5/16” drill bit (G8 application only)

NOTE: The images shown below have the control arm removed from the vehicle for illustrative purposes only. It is not necessary to
remove the control arms for this installation.

INSTALLATION:

1. Lift the vehicle and safely support it under the rear cradle or frame rails.
2. Using a 15mm wrench and a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the nuts from lower mount of the OE sway bar end link. The 5mm

Allen wrench is used to prevent the center of the OE end link from turning while loosening the nut with the 15mm wrench.

3. Once the end link is unbolted, slip the BMR Mounting Brace under the OE mount as shown in the image below.
4. Insert the supplied 5/16” carriage bolts from the bottom side then place a washer on top of each bolt. Thread the provided

nuts onto the bolts but do not tighten yet. NOTE: For Pontiac G8 applications it is necessary to drill the holes in the control
arm. This is possible to do without removing the control arm if a low profile, 90 degree drill is used
.

5. Re-install the end link through the new BMR Mounting Brace and tighten the 15mm nut.
6. Now tighten the (2) ½” nuts.
7. Duplicate the above procedure on the opposite side.
8. Lower vehicle.
