LS1 DRAG RACE ALTERNATOR MOUNTING KIT

NOTE: This product is intended for drag race applications only and requires the use of an electric water pump. Power steering and air
conditioning is not compatible. The following instructions assume the vehicle is already in this state and addresses the alternator installation only.
Installation:
1. Position the BMR 3 hole bracket over the alternator pivot ear and slide the provided
120mm bolt through. (This is the longest bolt in the hardware packet).
2. Using the supplied 50mm bolt, mount the bracket and alternator assembly to the #1 and
#2 boltholes shown to the right. The longest bolt mounts in the #2 hole.
3. Using the supplied 32mm bolt (shortest bolt), attach the curved adjustment bracket to
the #3 hole of the block. The bolt should pass through the single hole on the bracket
(not the slotted hole) and the bracket should curve away from the alternator.
4. Slide the 100mm bolt through the other mounting ear of the alternator. Position the
remaining aluminum spacer between the alternator and the adjustment bracket and
thread the supplied nut onto the backside.
5. Install the serpentine belt and apply tension by applying leverage to the alternator case.
6. Tighten all bolts.
Choosing a belt:
There are varied options when it comes to choosing the correct belt length. Both
alternator pulley size and damper pulley size play a role in determining the correct bolt length.
Below are some known sizes based around popular combinations.
Stock damper and alternator pulley – 34.5” belt
