SAFETY SUMMARY

BATTERIES

The Integrated Forend Light is powered by two 3V lithium CR123A batteries.

In addition to guidelines established by the battery manufacturer, the

following safety precautions apply when handling lithium batteries:
• Do not short circuit, puncture, incinerate, or disassemble.
• Do not attempt to recharge.
• Prior to use, inspect the batteries for any cracks, dents, leakage or

bulging. Never install a defective battery in the Integrated Forend Light.

WARNING

Lithium batteries can explode or cause burns if disassembled, shorted,

recharged, exposed to water, fire, or high temperatures (above 100°C or

212°F). Do not place loose batteries in a pocket or other container containing

metal objects. Do not store batteries with hazardous or combustible

materials. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area.

WARNING

Use of off-brand batteries poses a risk of fire or explosion. Ensure that only

3V lithium batteries produced by well-known battery manufacturers such as

Duracell®, Rayovac®, or Panasonic® are installed in the Integrated Forend

Light. These batteries are specifically designed for use in high performance,

high-drain devices, and contain built-in fault and heat protection features.

CAUTION

Do not ship or store the Integrated Forend Light with the batteries installed.

WEAPONS SAFETY

The Integrated Forend Light is designed to be used with destructive weapon

systems. Improper operation or misuse of the Integrated Forend Light with

these weapon systems could lead to personal injury or death of either the

operator or other persons within weapons range. Safe firearms handling

procedures must be practiced at all times.

WARNING

The Integrated Forend Light is designed to produce sufficient light to safely

illuminate and identify a potential target without the need to point the

Integrated Forend Light and the host weapon directly at an individual. The

light from the Integrated Forend Light can safely be directed at a wall, floor,

or ceiling and “bounced” onto a darkened silhouette or dark area.

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

WARNING

Be sure the weapon is CLEAR and SAFE before performing the maintenance

functions described below.
Integrated Forend Light Housing. Inspect the housing for any signs of

damage including cracks, missing parts, and any other visible defects. Rinse

with water or mild soap and water and wipe clean with a soft cloth. Clean

around the pressure pads and rotary switch with a cotton swab.
Battery Compartment. Inspect the battery compartment for dirt, dust and

corrosion. Dirt or debris that cannot be shaken loose from the battery

compartment may be removed using a clean cloth or cotton swab.

Periodically inspect the o-ring on the outside of the battery compartment and

replace if it becomes cut, nicked, or dried out.
Battery Cap. Inspect the battery cap for dirt, sand and grime. Clean

thoroughly by rinsing with water and wiping with a cotton swab.
Optical Surfaces. Inspect the LED illuminator lens for dirt, dust, and grime.

Remove any large particles or loose dirt using air or a soft cloth. Fine cleaning

should be performed using lens tissue and lens cleaning solution. Clean

water, alcohol, or general purpose window cleaner may be used to remove

stubborn stains. Avoid using excessive force as this may scratch the lens.

BATTERY HANDLING

Battery Inspection. Before installation, inspect the batteries for any cracks,

dents, leakage or bulging. Never install a defective battery in the Integrated

Forend Light.

WARNING

Be sure the weapon is CLEAR and SAFE before attempting to install, remove,

or replace the batteries.

CAUTION

Do not ship or store the Integrated Forend Light with the batteries installed.
Battery Installation. Access the battery compartment by turning the battery

cap counterclockwise. Install two 3V CR123A lithium batteries with the

positive terminal facing in as shown in Figure 1. Proper battery orientation is

clearly marked on the Integrated Forend Light housing. Replace the battery

cap and turn clockwise to tighten.

INSTALLATION

Thank you for your recent purchase of the Integrated Forend Light.

To install this you will need to follow the shotgun manufacturer’s guidelines

to remove the forend and action bar assembly from the shotgun.
Once completed, follow the directions below, using the tool provided, to

remove the action bars from the existing forend and affix them to the IFL.
Once installed, again following the shotgun manufacturer’s guidelines,
