Destroy the sightʼs operability by removing the battery
cap, batteries, and then crushing the battery cap. Destroy this document by any
method that will prevent disclosure of contents or reconstruction of the document.
This defense article is controlled under the International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR), and may not be exported to a Foreign Person, either in the U.S.
or abroad, without a license or exemption from the U.S. Department of State.
The 553 is designed to mount only to rail systems that are made to the dimensions
of the current MIL-STD-1913 rail specification. Rails which do not meet the
dimensional requirements of the MIL-STD-1913 specification may result in the
sight fitting loosely, moving on the rail during recoil, or not allow the cam levers to
close properly.
