USING The NIN-7A-OBD MEMORY SAVER

4.1

Use the NIN-7A-Obd Memory Saver to save the vehicle’s on-board

diagnostic computer settings (radio programs, diagnostic codes, etc.)

while battery is disconnected from vehicle during repair or maintenance.
To use the NIN-7A-OBD:

Make sure that the Memory Saver’s internal battery is fully

Connect the Memory Saver’s Obd connector to the vehicle’s

Obd connector. Make sure that the connector is fully engaged.
disconnect the vehicle’s battery cables.

when working with the vehicle’s battery, review all

of the battery manufacturer’s and vehicle manu-

facturer’s safety instructions, warnings and direc-

tives regarding battery disconnection, removal and

replacement.

The vehicle’s electrical system is receiving power from the Memo-

ry Saver through the Obd connection. Therefore, the vehicle’s

battery connectors will still conduct electricity and should be

covered with an insulator to prevent the connectors from touching

metal or each other and causing a short circuit.

POWERING A 12V DC DEVICE

4.2

The NIN-7A-Obd is a power source for all 12v dC accessories that are

equipped with a 12V accessory plug. Use it for power outages and fishing

or camping trips. Estimated usage time is listed in the chart below.
Make sure the device to be powered is OFF before inserting the 12v dC

accessory plug into the 12v dC accessory outlet.

Open the protective cover of the dC power outlet on the side of

Plug the 12v dC device into the dC power outlet, and turn the

12V DC device on (if required).
If the 12v dC device draws more than 15A or has a short

circuit, the internal circuit breaker of the NIN-7A-Obd will trip

and disconnect the power to the device. disconnect the 12v dC

device. The breaker will automatically reset after an overload

occurs.
