BEFORE USING THE POWER CONVERTER 3.
it is important to know that this converter only supplies dc power at the 3.1
voltage you set it to. Read the specifications in the “input” section of the
device’s manual you are about to power before plugging it in.
this converter only charges
3.2 devices (positive center pin, and
negative outside). if the polarity of the device you are trying to power has
a negative center pin and positive outside the converter will
not work.

make sure that the device is turned off before inserting plugs. failure to 3.3
do so may cause damage that isn’t covered by the manufacturer’s normal
warranty.

the power converter comes in a carrying case with 11 adapter plugs.
select the appropriate connector for the device you would like to operate.
Setting the Converter Voltage
4.1
determine the proper voltage setting by checking the electronic device •
rating plate, owner’s manual, or number of batteries.
Plugging Adapter Plugs into the Power Converter and Electronic 4.2

after selecting the appropriate adapter plug, push it into the power •
converter’s cord plug. NOTE: each connector has a tab guide so that
they will only fit into the plug one way. Forcing the connector into the plug
the wrong way (reversed polarity) will cause damage to your device and/
or power converter.
do not use any connectors or adapters that are not supplied with the

universal power and adapter Kit.
make sure the electronic device is turned off. firmly push the selected
•
adapter into the device input socket.
Plugging Power Converter into a Vehicle 4.3
make sure that the 12v accessory (cigarette) outlet in your vehicle is free •
of any materials and debris. particles in the accessory outlet could cause
a short; blowing the fuse in your vehicle and/or power converter.
firmly plug the 12v end of the power converter into the 12v accessory
•
outlet. the red led illuminates when the power converter receives
power from the 12v accessory outlet.
NOTE: in some vehicles if the vehicle is not running, the vehicles’ 12v
outlets are not live unless the key is turned to the acc position. if the red
led does not illuminate on the power converter, turn the vehicle’s key to
the acc position without starting the engine.
