How do I know that my device is receiving GPS signals?

Scout alerts you if your device is not receiving GPS signals. If this happens, move to an area where there is a clear view
of the sky so your device can receive GPS signals from space.

What happens if I’m using Scout for driving directions and I lose the GPS signal while driving across a bridge
or through a tunnel or lose the GPS signal for some other reason?

A “GPS Weak” icon will pop up on screen if the GPS signal is not clearly received by the device. Once you have clear
GPS signal, the icon will disappear.

What happens if I lose network coverage while driving?

You must return to a coverage area in order for Scout to detect your location and give you driving directions. You can
generate a route by choosing Directions on the Route Planning screen and page through the turns manually. See page

29

for information on a Follow Me map.

How often are your maps updated?

Our maps are updated quarterly.

How do I reinstall the application on my phone?

You can go to the Windows Marketplace in order to obtain the latest build for Scout.

How do I delete my list of “Recents?”

In the Recents screen of the Scout app, choose the Delete icon

at the bottom of the screen to delete all Recents at

once. You can also choose a Recent Place in the list and then “Delete” in the Details screen for an individual deletion.
