5. Launching Telenav GPS Navigator
To launch the Telenav GPS Navigator application on your phone, do the following steps:
1. Choose Menu and then Maps.
2. Choose “Telenav GPS Navigator” on the Maps screen to launch the application.
NOTE: If you are doing another function on your phone and want to go to the Main Menu so you can launch the Telenav
GPS Navigator application, press the END key once
3. The Telenav GPS Navigator splash screen appears.
NOTE: On subsequent launches, if a newer version of Telenav GPS Navigator is available, you will see a prompt to
upgrade right after the splash screen. If you choose to upgrade, follow the on-screen prompts. If not, choose
“Remind Me Later” to continue using the application.
4. The Warning screen appears, choose Exit to reject this warning and exit application startup, or choose Go to
accept this warning and start Telenav GPS Navigator.
5. On the Login screen, enter your First and Last name (as you have registered on the Telenav GPS Navigator
website). Then scroll down and choose “Submit.”
NOTE: The first time you launch the application, you will be offered a brief Product Tour. If you choose to skip the tour
at this point, you can always access it again in the Settings menu.
6. Speech Input
Instead of typing in an address or other keyword, or choosing a menu on screen, you can use the voice-recognition
system to speak in a command, address, and/or keyword.
1. Choose the Speech Input icon from the Main Menu, the Drive To Menu, or the Search Menu.
2. Following the on-screen prompts to say a command, address, and/or keyword.
3. Wait for the application to react.
The appropriate screen will then appear. For example: If you say “Map here”, Telenav GPS Navigator will display a map
of your location as if you had chosen Maps & Traffic from the Home screen.
