Firewall Clutch Cable
Adjuster

Step 1

Working from under the vehicle, remove clutch cable
from the clutch fork.

Step 2

Working from under the dashboard, remove the
clutch cable from the quadrant assembly.

Step 3

Working from under the hood, remove the sheet-
metal screw attaching the clutch cable housing to
the firewall. Once removed, simply pull the housing
and exposed cable from the opening in the firewall.

Step 4

Remove the large, black rubber isolator from the
clutch cable housing end where it was attached to
the firewall, then slide the knurled portion of the
adjuster over the cable, onto the opening in the fire-
wall.

Step 5

Make sure the adjuster body is threaded completely onto the knurled
portion of the adjuster, then insert the
complete assembly into the firewall. Line up the screw hole to the notch and reinstall screw.

Step 6

Reattach the cable to the quadrant assembly first, then to the clutch fork. To adjust the cable, simply twist the
knurled adjuster either cw or ccw to loosen or tighten cable.
