Slide the POP&LOCK into place all
the way to the right side.

NOTE: POP&LOCK is designed to secure the passen-
ger side latch. You may experience that the driver’s
side latch can open due to the flex in the handle, but
the tailgate will still remain locked.
If the tailgate should open, an adjustment is required to
the rods that run from the handle to the latches.
Remove the rod on the driver’s side from the latch side of
the tailgate. Once removed, the rod will be in the shape
of a ‘Z’. Straighten out BOTH bends by a few degrees,
effectively lengthening the rod and re-install. The
Pop&Lock should now secure the tailgate.

Place the 1/4-20 hex bolt with the
appropriate washer into the rear
and screw it into the POP&LOCK.

as you tighten all the bolts.

Lift the handle and insert the
POP&LOCK between the handle
and the plastic insert.
This is a tight fit and it helps to
loosen the handle bolts.

Lower the tailgate.
Remove the center bolt and loosen
the other two bolts.
