NR-050 TILTING DISC CHECK VALVE
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
A . INSTALLATION
1. The valve can be installed horizontally.
2. The counter weight assembly will be installed so the arm is
turns down at a 45
0
angle, when the valve closes.
3. Shut – off valve – in order to allow maintenance and removal
of the valve, a shut-off valve will be installed before the inlet
and /or after the outlet of the valve, according to the conditions
in the pipeline.
4. Ball valve – In order to release the pressure and to drain the
valve for installation, ball valves will be installed on the outlet
and inlet of the check valve, according to the conditions of the
pipeline.
5. It is forbidden to weld or to coat the stainless steel shaft. (2)
B. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
1. Greasing of the counter weight assembly every year.
Take off the weight by drawing, grease the st.st. shaft and the internal part of the
counter weight arm.
2. After draining the valve, remove the cover of the neck (3)
take out the bushing (8) grease and / or replace the Graphite sealing of the
bearing (12), in case it is torn.
3. Greasing of the bolts of the weight assembly and the cover bolts.(10)
** The periodic maintenance has to be done once or twice
through the year, according to the quality and kinds of the liquids in the
system.
