COMBINATION AIR VALVE FOR SEWAGE

A. Installation
1.
The SAV (sewage air valve) should be installed vertically on a
riser on the crown of the pipeline.
2.
An inlet isolating valve should be installed underneath the SAV.
B. Periodic Maintenance
1. Frequency of periodic maintenance depends on suspended solids and
grease load conditions. With high load conditions of suspend solids and/or
grease the frequency can be once a month, with a low loads it can be once
every year.
2. Shut the isolating valve underneath the air valve.
3. Open the two pressure relief valves
(1)
and make sure that internal
pressure is released.
4. Open all six screws
(2 )
on the top cover of the air valve.
5. Pull out the mechanism (together with the cover)
(3+4)
.
Rinse it and the inner part of the body.
6. Reassemble and tighten the screws.
Pay attention to correct placement of the
O-ring seal.
7. Close the pressure relief valves and open the
isolating valve.
