Posey Full Side Rail Cover - Manual

The pad slips over the top of a full side rail and goes across and under the mattress to help
prevent bed rail entanglement. A decubitus fur liner protects the patient who bangs against the
hard metal bars. Rails may be raised or lowered without removing the side rail pad, and
reinforced holes allow wrist restraints or belts to be secured to the bed frame. Machine
washable. Synthetic fur lined.

Monitoring
Posey Full Side Rail Cover will not prevent a determined patient from exiting the
bed, going over or attempting to go between or through side rail gaps. DO NOT articulate bed
if product is applied. AlwAys follow your facility’s policies and procedures for patient
assessment, monitoring and rehabilitation.
Application Instructions:
1. Inspect product prior to use. DO NOT use soiled or damaged products.
2. Remove mattress from bed.
3. Slip side rail covers over both side rails, fur side towards the patient.
4. Replace mattress and secure hook and loop fasteners at the ends of the side rails and to the
movable part of the bed frame.
5. Check for proper fit. Modified beds may not be compatible with the Posey Full Side Rail Cover.

Properly dispose of the product
per facility’s policy for BIOHAZARDOUS
materials.
Storage And Handling
This device is designed for use in normal
indoor environments. This device may be
stored in ambient warehouse temperatures at
normal humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture
or high humidity that may damage product
materials.
