MONITORING

Always follow your facility’s policies and procedures for patient assessment, monitoring

and rehabilitation.

INSPECTION

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches; or torn, cut or frayed material. DO

NOT use soiled or damaged products.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Wipe Clean with mild detergent. OSHA approved intermediate level disinfectants

can be used per manufacturer instructions. DO NOT use phenol and benzyl based

disinfectants.

• After cleaning, products MUST be rinsed with water to remove any residual chemicals.

• Make sure products are completely dry before use.
DISPOSAL

Properly dispose of the product per facility’s policy for BIOHAZARDOUS materials.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

This device is designed for use in normal indoor environments. This device may be stored in

ambient warehouse temperatures at normal humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture or high

humidity that may damage product materials.

FRONT

1. Make sure the cushion dimensions match those of the wheelchair.

2. Place cushion on the wheelchair seating surface.

3. Align the front edge of the cushion with the front edge of the wheelchair seat.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORy:

The Posey Wheelchair Cushion Incontinence Pad

is made from a durable quilted polyester laminate.

Made of highly absorbent material, the pad is

designed to help protect against urine spills.

Non-latex elastic straps at all four corners secure

the pad to the cushion. Will absorb and hold up to

300cc, or 10 oz. of fluid. Fits cushions up to 20”W x

18”D x 2”H (51 cm x 46 cm x 5 cm).

MOLDING FOAM CUSHION

INDICATIONS:

Patients at risk for pressure ulcers and/or requiring posture support and/or inclined to slide

forward.
PATIENT BENEFITS:

• Constructed from 1½” (4 cm) thick viscoelastic foam (“memory foam”) laminated to a firm urethane base.

• Provides stability and pressure distribution, helping to reduce the risk of pressure ulcer development.

• Unique rounded front edge design reduces pressure under the knee and thighs.

• Convex shaped bottom helps compensate the “hammocking” effect of sling wheelchair seats.

• Zippered outer cover removes quickly and easily for cleaning.

For patients at risk of pressure ulcers in the coccyx area.

PATIENT BENEFITS:

• Urethane foam inner construction with Posey’s Sure-Grip vinyl covers to provide a smooth

seating surface.

• Cutout in the back helps provide offloading of the coccyx.

All Posey Foam Cushions are warranted to perform as indicated. The Posey Company will, at their

option, repair or replace, except for vandalism or other abuse, any Cushion for a period of one (1)

year from date of purchase.

All Cushions meet CA #117 flame retardancy standards.
