Slim SupportS

Customizes a standard wheelchair or geri-chair for petite

patients/residents. The Slim Supports fit snugly inside the

seating area to provide bilateral torso support. Made of 3/8” (1

cm) plywood covered with padded foam and wipe-clean vinyl.

Adjustable straps for attachment. One pair per package. Meets California

#117 Flame Retardancy Standards

Wheelchair application inStructionS:

1. Slim Supports are provided in pairs (right and left) and should be

placed between the wheelchair side panel and the patient. Place the

zippered edge facing down and the hard side of the support toward

the side panel.

2. To secure the Slim Support, work the bottom front strap between

the side panel and the seat rail until it clears the bottom of the arm.

Pull the lower strap tightly, then connect it to the top strap on the

outside of the side panel. To secure the straps, loop the bottom strap

through the rings on the top strap (fig. 1) and pull tightly.

3. Wrap the rear strap around the rear post and secure it using the

hook and loop closure.

4. Repeat the process for the opposite Slim Support.

1. Slim Supports are provided in pairs (right and left) and should be

placed between the side panel and the patient.

2. In fig. 2, Slim Supports are shown in the horizontal position. This is

more appropriate for shorter patients.

3. In fig. 3, Slim Supports are shown in the vertical position. This is

more appropriate for taller patients.

Always follow your facility’s policies and procedures for

patient assessment, monitoring and rehabilitation

inSpection

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches or parts;

torn, cut or frayed material; or zippers or buckles that do not hold

securely. DO NOT use soiled or damaged products.

DiSpoSal

Properly dispose of the product per facility’s policy for

BIOHAZARDOUS materials.

StoraGe anD hanDlinG

This device is designed for use in normal indoor

environments. This device may be stored in ambient

warehouse temperatures at normal humidity levels. Avoid

excess moisture or high humidity that may damage product

materials.

• Wipe Clean with mild detergent. OSHA approved

intermediate level disinfectants can be used per

manufacturer instructions. DO NOT use phenol and benzyl

based disinfectants.

• After cleaning, products MUST be rinsed with water to remove any

residual chemicals.

• Make sure products are completely dry before use.
