Wheelchair Wing-Backs

These side lateral supports help provide a vertical side support

surface for patients who lean laterally. The angle of attachment

may be adjusted manually to accommodate the needs of the

individual patient/ resident. Made of 1/4” (1 cm) plywood base covered with

foam and a vinyl cover. The Posey Wheelchair Wing-Backs install in seconds

using the existing screws from the wheelchair back upholstery.
• Meets CA #117 flame retardancy standards.

• Mounting hole spacing, 5¼” (13 cm)

INSPECTION

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches;

or torn, cut or frayed material. DO NOT use soiled or damaged

products.

DISPOSAL

Properly dispose of the product per facility’s policy for

BIOHAZARDOUS materials.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

This device is designed for use in normal indoor environments.

This device may be stored in ambient warehouse temperatures at

normal humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture or high humidity

that may damage product materials.

CLEANING INSTRuCTIONS:
• Wipe Clean with mild detergent. OSHA approved

intermediate level disinfectants can be used per

manufacturer instructions. DO NOT use phenol and

benzyl based disinfectants.

• After cleaning, products MUST be rinsed with water to remove

any residual chemicals.

• Make sure products are completely dry before use.

WHEELCHAIR WING-BACkS

APPLICATION INSTRuCTIONS:

1. Remove the top two screws on each side of the wheelchair backrest.

2. Orient the Wing-back so that the screw holes in the metal

brackets line up with the screw holes of the wheelchair back

post. The Wing-back should be positioned so that it is above the

wheelchair armrest.

3. Attach the screws so that the seat back and the Wing-back are

both secure.

The angle of the Wing-back may be adjusted by applying pressure

to the metal bracket and bending it slightly. To avoid damaging

the Wing-back, be sure to brace the whole product with your hand

before applying pressure to the metal bracket.
