Disposable Operating Room Body/Knee Strap
The Posey Disposable Operating Room Body/Knee
Strap is designed to assist in patient positioning for
medical treatment on an examination or operating
table. One dozen per package.

Monitoring
Be sure to follow your facility’s policies and
guidelines for frequency of patient monitoring. Check for
skin integrity and proper circulation.
Inspection
Inspect before each use: check for broken
stitches; or torn, cut or frayed material. DO NOT use soiled
or damaged products.
Application Instructions:
1. Secure strap to side of table (Fig. 1).
2. Ensure that the printed label on the strap faces the
patient.
3. Bring the “hook” part of the strap over the patient to
secure closure (Fig. 2). Ensure that the strap is snug enough
to properly position the patient without compromising
circulation. Monitor skin and extremities for discoloration.
The Posey Disposable Operating Room Body/
Knee Strap may be easily released by the patient, and is not
for use as a patient restraint.
For single patient use only; discard after use.
Disposal
Properly dispose of the product per facility’s
policy for BIOHAZARDOUS materials.
Storage and Handling
This device is designed for use in normal indoor
environments. This device may be stored in ambient
warehouse temperatures at normal humidity levels. Avoid
excess moisture or high humidity that may damage product
materials.
