Note: Remove sticker from display before use.
Note: In the following instructions, names of the control
buttons are shown in CAPS. Function information that appears
on the display is shown in BOLD CAPS.
Battery Installation
Battery is installed. Remove plastic tab to allow
power. Replace battery when LCD becomes dim.
1. Remove battery cover on the back by sliding it
in the direction of the arrow.
2. Install one LR44 battery, positive (+) side up.
A brief alarm sounds.
3. Replace the battery cover until it clicks shut.
Operating Instructions
A. Temperature Scale
Slide switch to °F or °C on the back of the case
to select temperature reading in Fahrenheit
or Celsius.
B. Temperature
1. IN displays current temperature at the panel
of the DTC1-G.
2. OUT displays sensor temperature.
Note: The sensor is sealed inside the weatherproof
housing. This sensor (OUT) responds less quickly to
temperature changes than the sensor in the case (IN).
C. Set Clock
1. Slide switch to CLOCK on the back of the case.
2. Press the HR and/or MIN buttons on the back
of the case to enter the correct time. Press and
hold for fast advance.
3. Slide switch back to TEMP °F or TEMP °C
on the back of the case.
4. Press the bar (on the front under the display)
to display the time.
D. Mounting
1. Velcro ®
a. Remove the paper backing from one side
of the Velcro ® tab and adhere to back of case
above battery cover.
b. Determine where the case will be mounted.
Wipe the surface area clean, remove the
paper backing from opposite side of the
Velcro ® tab, and adhere to surface by
pressing firmly. Wait 15 minutes for adhesive
to set before removing case.
